Legislator Backs Governor Alia for 2027 Re-election

A member of the House of Representatives, representing the Vandeikya/Konshisha constituency, has declared full support for Governor Hyacinth Alia's re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections. Speaking at a gathering organized by the Jechira Development Association in Makurdi, the legislator, Sesoo Gboko, dismissed allegations that he was working against the governor's administration, labeling such insinuations as the work of political opportunists seeking favor.

He emphasized the importance of unity among the people of Benue, particularly in the Jechira federal constituency, urging them to vote massively in support of Alia to further the state's progress. Gboko highlighted that Alia has already passed a "litmus test" of governance and deserves to consolidate his achievements in the upcoming elections.

Rev. King David Jov, a special advisor to the governor, also affirmed the unity among the Jechira people in support of Alia's leadership.
