Amaechi Urges ADC Members to Focus on Election Wins

Rotimi Amaechi, the vice-presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), addressed party members in Abuja during the inauguration of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council on Friday. He emphasized the importance of focusing on winning elections rather than continuing disputes over party primaries, stating, "If we are still quarrelling about the party’s primary, it is over." Amaechi reflected on his past experiences during political campaigns with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), including instances where he was allegedly prevented from traveling by security officials.

He recounted being stopped at Akure Airport and advised by a military officer to leave due to safety concerns. Despite these challenges, he remained committed to his political activities, asserting that opposition figures must be prepared to face difficulties during campaigns.

Amaechi urged members of the campaign council to learn from past struggles and stay focused on their responsibilities.
