Wike Confident of Tinubu's 2027 Win in FCT

On Tuesday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), expressed confidence that Bola Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, will secure victory in the FCT during the 2027 elections. Wike attributed this optimism to the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s performance and increasing grassroots acceptance.

He highlighted the government's commitment to infrastructure development, noting that there are not fewer than 20 projects ready for inauguration, which include significant road projects in areas such as Karu and Gwagwalada. Wike emphasized the importance of visible government action and the need for residents to feel the impact of governance.

He also mentioned ongoing projects in satellite towns and rural communities, which are part of a new phase of development in the FCT. Wike's statements came as he inspected six projects in preparation for President Tinubu's third-year anniversary celebration in Abuja.
