Isiala Ngwa Leaders Urge Kalu to Run for Abia Governorship

In a significant political development ahead of the 2027 general elections, leaders from Isiala Ngwa North and South have called on Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu to contest for the governorship of Abia State. This appeal is part of a larger movement within the influential political bloc in the region, with local leaders openly endorsing Kalu as their preferred candidate.

The call was made during the official inauguration of the Ikeoha Movement, where Chief Uzoma Ihuka declared his interest in contesting for the House of Representatives. Kalu expressed confidence in the leadership of President Bola Tinubu's administration and emphasized the need for unity within the APC to strengthen its position across the country.

He acknowledged the growing support from various parts of the state and assured that he would respond positively to the calls for his candidacy.
