Ndubuisi Seeks to Replace Kalu as Deputy Speaker in 2027

Hon. Emmanuel Chinedu Ndubuisi, a two-time member of the Abia State House of Assembly, has announced his intention to contest for the Bend Federal Constituency ticket in the 2027 elections, seeking to replace the current Deputy Speaker, Hon.

Benjamin Okezie Kalu. Ndubuisi, popularly known as Ijiriji, made this declaration during a public event in Uzuakoli on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, under the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket.

He emphasized his commitment to transforming the Bend area into a commercial hub and highlighted the need for infrastructure development to attract investment. Ndubuisi expressed confidence in his ability to fill Kalu's role, acknowledging Kalu's significant achievements.

He noted that local stakeholders have already adopted him as a consensus candidate, and he has received support from various political leaders, including Chief Paul Chikezi Mbah and Prof. Haggler Okori.

Abia State APC Chairman Hon. Chijiok Chukwu praised Ndubuisi's experience as a lawmaker, indicating strong backing for his candidacy.
