Anyanwu Declares Candidacy for Imo State Leadership

Samuel Anyanwu, a prominent member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), announced his candidacy to lead Imo State in the 2027 elections during a gathering in Owerri, the state capital. He stated that it is his turn to lead and called for unity among PDP members, including notable figures such as Ikedi Ohakim, Emeka Ihedioha, and Hope Uzodimma.

Anyanwu expressed confidence in the PDP's future, asserting that the party must grow stronger and gain the trust of the people. He urged new group members to work diligently to support the party, particularly in rural areas, and warned against unfair practices during the elections.

Anyanwu committed to ensuring that PDP representatives would monitor polling stations to safeguard the electoral process and maintain the integrity of the vote. He emphasized that true political power is not given but taken, and he is focused on achieving his goals for the state.
