2027: Jubilation As Aregbesola Welcomes APC, PDP Members into ADC, Mentions Key Priority

Former governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, welcomed members of the APC and PDP into the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in 2027, emphasizing the party's commitment to prioritizing Nigerians. The defectors included prominent figures such as former PDP chairman Muritala Ashorobi and PDP youth leader Niyi Adams.

Aregbesola highlighted the need for a new direction in governance, urging the youth to play a more significant role in politics. He warned that the government would lose relevance if it failed to prioritize the welfare of its citizens.

Additionally, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar expressed optimism about the ADC's future, calling it a movement with a bright chance. However, lawmaker Hon Leke Abejide raised concerns about the party's collapse in September 2025.
