Kano APC Endorses Tinubu as Sole Candidate for 2027

On a recent date, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State endorsed Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections. This decision was reached during a meeting held at the Coronation Hall of the Government House in Kano, where the Managing Director of the Hadejia Jama River Basin Development Authority, Rabiu Suleiman Bichi, moved the motion for Tinubu's adoption.

Former Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, seconded the motion.

Although Tinubu has already expressed interest in the nomination by picking up his form, the stakeholders demonstrated their support by raising N50 million to offset 50 percent of the N100 million cost of the nomination form. Additionally, they endorsed Governor Abba Yusuf as the sole governorship candidate for the 2027 polls.

The meeting included prominent figures such as former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje and former Deputy Governor Prof. Hafiz Abubakar, highlighting the APC's strong political structure in Kano, which is expected to secure a landslide victory for Tinubu in the upcoming elections.
