Kwara APC Endorses Tinubu and Danladi for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has officially endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election in the 2027 general elections and Speaker Salihu Yakubu Danladi as the preferred candidate for governor. This endorsement was announced during a rally held at the council secretariat in Moro Local Government Area, attended by party stakeholders and local leaders.

Mariam Abdulwasiu, the chairperson of Moro Local Government Area, emphasized the need for continuity in leadership and highlighted the achievements of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq's administration. The rally also featured remarks from Ishola Ajibad, a former INEC commissioner, who praised Abdulrazaq's leadership.

The endorsement reflects a strategic decision considering the political dynamics in Kwara, particularly the need to address the power shift demands from the Kwara North region, which has not held the governorship seat since 1999. The APC members expressed their commitment to ensuring Danladi's candidacy aligns with the party's vision for sustainable development in the state.
