Kwankwaso Open to VP Role to Remove Tinubu in 2027

Habibu Saleh, spokesperson for the Kwankwasiyya Movement, announced that Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former presidential candidate, is willing to accept any political role, including the vice presidency, to facilitate the removal of Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. In an interview with Daily Post, Saleh highlighted that Kwankwaso's priority is not personal ambition but rather ensuring the survival of democracy in Nigeria.

He addressed comments made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar regarding Kwankwaso's political relevance, asserting that Kwankwaso has significant grassroots support and performed well outside Kano during the 2023 elections despite contesting on a relatively weak platform. Saleh also noted that discussions about a potential joint ticket between Atiku and Kwankwaso in Northern Nigeria are unrealistic, while mentioning the interest in a Kwankwaso and Peter Obi ticket among Nigerians.
