Kwankwaso Backs Tinubu for 2027 Northern Victory

Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso, a prominent Kano politician and member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed confidence in Bola Ahmad Tinubu's potential for a landslide victory in northern Nigeria during the 2027 elections. Kwankwaso criticized the propaganda and attacks against Tinubu, asserting that they are typical during election periods.

He referenced the challenges faced by the region, including insecurity and tribal sentiments, and noted that previous leaders, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, failed to resolve these issues. Kwankwaso acknowledged the efforts of late President Muhammadu Buhari in addressing insecurity but emphasized that the region continues to suffer from kidnappings and banditry.

He urged northern leaders to support Tinubu, highlighting ongoing infrastructure projects such as railways and roads initiated under Buhari. Kwankwaso reaffirmed his commitment to the APC and called for unity among northern politicians to ensure electoral success, particularly in Kano, which he believes will deliver a strong vote for Tinubu.
