Kwara APC Group Advocates Peace Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Asa Progress Movement, a political group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, has urged political actors to avoid violence and rancor as they prepare for the 2027 general elections. This appeal was made during an endorsement program for Bola Ahmed Tinubu's second term bid and Bolarinwa's governorship ambition at the Asa Local Government Area headquarters.

The group, coordinated by Daud Oladipupo and signed by former Kwara APC chairman Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, stressed the importance of peace in political campaigns and warned against actions that could incite political tension. They called on stakeholders across party lines to prioritize collective interests for the state and urged all Kwara State residents, regardless of political affiliation, to join the movement to advance the state’s future.

The group highlighted Bolarinwa's political experience and track record in public service, expressing confidence in his ability to address key issues such as insecurity, youth unemployment, and agricultural revival.
