Nenadi Usman Asserts Labour Party Should Be Strongest in Nigeria

Nenadi Usman, the interim national chairman of the Labour Party in Nigeria, emphasized the party's potential to become the strongest political party in the country. During an interview on Arise Television's prime time program, Usman acknowledged that the party's structure had faltered during the 2023 general elections.

She pointed out that key stakeholders like the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) were not adequately involved in the party's activities. Usman highlighted that despite being the brainchild of the Labour Party, the party failed to effectively engage its membership base.

She called for a revamp of the party's structure to enhance its effectiveness and relevance in Nigerian politics.
