Sanwo-Olu Endorses Hamzat for Lagos Governorship 2027

On a recent Monday, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu officially endorsed his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, as his preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

This announcement was made following a closed-door meeting held at the Lagos House in Marina, where key party stakeholders were present. Sanwo-Olu described the endorsement as a unanimous decision, highlighting Hamzat's capabilities, experience, and strong work relationship over the past seven years.

He noted that Hamzat possesses the integrity, loyalty, and commitment necessary for the role. The endorsement aligns with similar decisions made by other governors, including Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, who endorsed Solomon Adeola for the Ogun West senatorial district.

Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence in Hamzat's readiness to lead the state and emphasized the importance of this endorsement as a strategic move for the party's future.
