Sanwo-Olu Endorses Hamzat for 2027 Lagos Governorship

On a recent date, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu officially endorsed his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, as his preferred successor for the upcoming 2027 governorship election. This endorsement was made during a closed-door meeting held at Lagos House, Marina, which included members of the state executive council and the governor's advisory council.

Notable attendees included former Minister of State for Defense, Musiliu Obanikoro, and Ganiyu Solomon. The stakeholders present reached a unanimous decision to support Hamzat, describing him as prepared and capable of leading the state.

Sanwo-Olu expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for his instrumental role in recognizing Hamzat's capabilities and fostering a strong working relationship. The meeting highlighted the collective intent to ensure a smooth transition of leadership in the state.
