Faleke Endorses Hamzat for Lagos Governorship in 2027

On Friday, James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, publicly endorsed Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State, as the next governor ahead of the 2027 elections.

Faleke called for support from All Progressives Congress (APC) members across Lagos State as preparations for party primaries begin next month. The APC is reportedly moving towards a consensus arrangement to settle on Hamzat as its governorship candidate for the 2027 elections.

This decision is supported by various party stakeholders, including Senator Olamilekan Adeola and Senator Sharafadeen Alli. A meeting involving APC stakeholders from Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo states, including President Bola Tinubu, was held to discuss strategies for candidate selection.

The meeting included key figures such as Femi Gbajabiamila, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Dapo Abiodun, and Biodun Oyebanji, focusing on popular candidates for the upcoming elections.
