Makinde Appoints Ehilebo as Media Adviser for 2027 Campaign

On Thursday, Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo State and presidential candidate for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), appointed Anthony Ehilebo as his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication. This appointment, announced by Makinde’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, takes immediate effect, with further announcements regarding the campaign team expected.

Makinde expressed confidence in Ehilebo’s skills as a communication strategist and lawyer, stating that these would be crucial in promoting the APM’s vision of resetting Nigeria and achieving victory in the upcoming 2027 presidential election. He called on Nigerians to unite and support the APM, framing the 2027 election as a pivotal moment to overcome what he termed the failed leadership of the All Progressives Congress.

Additionally, on May 14, 2026, Makinde formally declared his candidacy for the presidency under an alliance with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and APM during a rally in Ibadan.
