Makinde, Fayemi, Oyinlola Discuss 2027 Election with Obasanjo

On a Sunday, Seyi Makinde, the Presidential Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the 2027 general election, held a closed-door meeting with Kayode Fayemi, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Olagunju Oyinlola, a significant stakeholder of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The meeting took place at Olusegun Obasanjo’s Penthouse residence within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta.

In a post on his Facebook page, Makinde stated that their discussions focused on important national issues in light of the upcoming general election. He expressed gratitude to Obasanjo for his wise counsel during this crucial period in Nigeria's history.

Fayemi has previously made critical remarks regarding the government of President Bola Tinubu and the ruling APC, indicating a potential rift with party leaders.
