Faisal Shuaib Withdraws from Nasarawa Governorship Race

Faisal Shuaib, the former Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, announced his withdrawal from the Nasarawa State governorship race, declaring support for Senator Ahmad Aliyu Wadada as the preferred candidate for the APC gubernatorial ticket. Shuaib explained that eight aspirants from the western zone had failed to produce a consensus candidate, which led to his decision.

He emphasized that the process did not yield a single name, prompting his withdrawal. However, IGP Mohammed Adamu rejected this development, describing it as a calculated assault on democracy.

During a press briefing in Lafia, Adamu, alongside Hon. Isa Nathaniel JP, accused the party leadership of coercing ward executives and warned that the lack of genuine support undermines the legitimacy of the candidacy.

He called for intervention from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC national working committee.
