Labour Party Sees Surge in 2027 Election Candidates

The Labour Party is experiencing a significant influx of candidates for the upcoming 2027 general elections, as many aspirants flocked to the party's headquarters to obtain nomination forms. Notable candidates include Peter Agada, who acquired the presidential nomination form, and Gazo Jonathan Gbefwi, who is vying for the governorship seat in Nasarawa State.

Other candidates include Princ Chioma Chinwo for Rivers State governorship, Philip Agbe for the Ado Ogbadibo Okpokw federal constituency seat in Benue State, and Maj Kenneth Obiabo Ehoch for the Apa Agatu federal constituency seat in Benue State. Additionally, Ishaya Timothi Yohanna is contesting for the Yola North, Yola South, and Girei federal constituency seat in Adamawa State.

Labour Party spokesperson Ken Eluma Asogwa confirmed the overwhelming number of aspirants aiming to participate in the elections, with various individuals also pursuing seats in the House of Representatives and state assemblies across different states.
