Labour Party Sees Surge in Nomination Form Purchases

The Labour Party has reported a significant increase in the purchase of nomination forms as various aspirants prepare to contest in the upcoming 2027 general elections. The announcement was made on Thursday, highlighting that several candidates have visited the party's national secretariat to acquire these forms.

Among those purchasing forms are Mr. Betti Anyanwu Akeredolu, a former First Lady of Ondo State, who is vying for the Imo East senatorial district seat, and Hon.

Hassan Mamman Barguwa, who is seeking a House of Representatives seat for the Gombi/Hong federal constituency in Adamawa State. Other aspirants include Hon.

Denni Chibuzor Oshai for the Aniocha/Oshimili federal constituency in Delta State, and Hon. Eric Edward and Moham Hayatu Atiku, both contesting for state House Assembly seats in Adamawa State.

Barguwa expressed confidence in the nomination process, describing it as seamless and assuring support for the party's growth in the northeast.
