Nasarawa Governor Sule Names Successor for 2027 Election

During a political meeting at the Government House in Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State disclosed his preferred successor for the 2027 governorship election. This announcement comes as political alignments for the upcoming elections begin to gain momentum.

Sule criticized current political office holders for their routine responses to salary payments and highlighted major achievements in road construction. He spoke at the 59th inaugural lecture at Nasarawa State University, where he reflected on governance and urged leaders to adopt innovative approaches to deliver real impacts on citizens' lives.

Sule cited examples of his administration's unconventional solutions to persistent challenges, including addressing fire outbreaks in markets and recurrent flooding near Keffi. He also pointed out the need for improved internal revenue generation to enable significant infrastructure projects.

The event featured remarks from Neliaku, the president of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, who commended Sule's developmental efforts.
