Sule Names Aliyu Wadada as Preferred Successor for 2027

On Thursday, during a meeting in Lafia, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State announced Senator Aliyu Wadada as his preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election under the All Progressives Congress (APC). Sule explained that the decision followed a comprehensive consultation process that involved discussions with various stakeholders, including youth groups, women organizations, traditional rulers, and party officials across the state's three senatorial zones.

He expressed confidence in Wadada's ability to sustain and advance the administration's policies and developmental strides. After narrowing down three aspirants deemed capable of winning, further consultations led to the final decision favoring Wadada.

Sule urged all stakeholders and political appointees to work towards realizing Wadada's candidacy and to support him without fostering divisions within the party.
