ZLP Endorses Abubakar Giza for Nasarawa Governorship

The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in Nasarawa State has decided to adopt a consensus mode for its upcoming governorship primaries, which are scheduled for later in May 2023. Cletu Ogah, the state chairman of ZLP, announced this decision during a press briefing at the party's secretariat in Lafia.

The consensus option aims to prevent uncertainty and internal divisions that may arise from direct primaries. The party is currently considering Abubakar Giza, a former Accountant General of the Federation, as its consensus candidate for the 2027 governorship elections.

Ogah stated that Giza's leadership skills and commitment to supporting less privileged individuals in the state make him a suitable candidate. Giza's campaign will focus on economic revitalization, job creation, and improving agricultural investments, with an emphasis on creating employment opportunities and enhancing the living standards of the people in Nasarawa State.
