NBC Warns Broadcasters Ahead of 2027 Elections

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has expressed serious concerns regarding the increasing breaches of the Nigeria Broadcast Code, particularly in the context of the upcoming 2027 general elections. The commission has warned broadcasters against the bullying of guests and the misuse of their platforms, emphasizing the need for strict compliance with the provisions of the broadcast code.

Key sections highlighted include the requirement for fair balance and accuracy in programming, as well as prohibitions against hate speech and inflammatory remarks.
