Lawuru Ozigizaga Enters 2027 Reps Race with APC Form

On Tuesday, Lawuru Ozigizaga, a prominent chieftain of the Niger Delta Progress Congress, announced his candidacy for the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections by picking up a nomination form from the All Progressives Congress (APC). Ozigizaga expressed his commitment to ending the third-term ambitions of the current incumbent, Thomas Erheyitomi, who has held the seat since 2019.

Vincent Oruofor, a member of the Warri Federal Constituency, has been at the forefront of urging Ozigizaga to run. In his statement, Ozigizaga emphasized the need for a movement that challenges the status quo and provides vibrant leadership.

He confirmed his resolve to dismantle the current representation, which he described as docile, and replace it with proactive governance. Josiah Omonigho praised Ozigizaga's ability to transcend tribal lines, a crucial factor in the complex political landscape of Warri, where he has built a significant following, particularly among women and the youth.
