Deji Aboderin Declares for 2027 House of Reps Race

Deji Aboderin, a former candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and an aide to former Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi, announced his intention to run for the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections. He made this declaration on Wednesday in Ibadan while addressing journalists after a consultation visit to Ward 9 in the Ibadan South East Local Government Area.

Aboderin emphasized the need for grassroots development and improving living conditions for residents in his constituency, highlighting issues such as education, access to water, and road infrastructure. He expressed his commitment to poverty alleviation and social development, referencing his previous projects since 2012.

Aboderin also aligned his campaign with the policies of President Bola Tinubu, particularly regarding ongoing reforms in the power sector. He reflected on the challenges faced during the 2019 elections, attributing some setbacks to internal divisions within the party, and expressed optimism about correcting past mistakes as he prepares for the upcoming elections.
