APC Chairman Confirms No Extension for Nomination Forms

The APC Chairman stated that there are no plans to extend the sale of nomination forms for aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections. This announcement was made during an address to journalists in Abuja.

The sale of nomination forms is scheduled to run from April 25 to May 2, 2023. The Chairman explained that any decision regarding a possible extension would be taken by the party's National Working Committee (NWC) in line with due process.

He emphasized the importance of adhering to the scheduled timeline to ensure a smooth conduct of the electoral exercise, describing it as a sign of organizational maturity within the party. The Chairman also noted that the APC remains committed to democratic principles, providing a level playing ground for its members to contest for positions, including the presidency.

He mentioned that the party's staff would oversee the clearance process and monitor social media for any complaints regarding the sale of forms.
