2027: North-Central APC stakeholders urge Tinubu to retain Shettima as VP

The North-Central APC stakeholders have urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to retain Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 general election. The North Central Progressives Congress APC Forum made this appeal in a statement in Abuja, emphasizing their rejection of calls for Shettima to be dropped.

The Forum's chairman, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, stated that the region's stakeholders disassociate themselves from such suggestions and endorse President Tinubu's 2027 election bid with Shettima as his running mate. Zazzaga highlighted the need for continuity and stability in leadership, urging President Tinubu to disregard any attempts to disrupt the current ticket.

The North Central APC Forum assured their unwavering support and commitment to President Tinubu's candidacy, emphasizing the importance of the Middle Belt region's support in key positions.
