Northern Students Back Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Bid

Student leaders from tertiary institutions across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 presidential election. This announcement was made during the inauguration of the students’ wing of the Arewa for Asiwaju movement.

Abdulmudallib Sheriff, the Coordinator of the students’ wing and President of the Students’ Union Government of Bayero University, Kano, stated that their support is based on the Tinubu administration's interventions in education, student financing, skills development, and youth empowerment. The group plans to engage in organized political mobilization for Tinubu across campuses and communities.

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani linked the students' support to the administration's achievements in various sectors, urging them to campaign based on verifiable records. Muhammad Abubakar, the Director-General of Arewa for Asiwaju, affirmed that students are ready to actively participate in the campaign for Tinubu's re-election.
