Northern Students Back Tinubu for 2027 Re-election Bid

Student leaders from tertiary institutions across the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027 during the inauguration of the Students’ Wing of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A). Comrade Abdulmudallib Kalli Sheriff, the Coordinator of the A4A Students’ Wing and SUG President of Bayero University, Kano, stated that their support was based on Tinubu's administration's efforts in education, student financing, skills development, and youth empowerment.

He highlighted the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as a significant initiative aiding students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani praised Tinubu's achievements in education and infrastructure, noting that over 60% of beneficiaries of key interventions are from Northern Nigeria.

He urged students to focus their campaigns on factual achievements rather than insults. Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, Director-General of Arewa for Asiwaju, emphasized that the case for Tinubu's re-election should be based on his accomplishments, including NELFUND and TETFund projects.
