Ahmad Calls Obi-Kwankwaso Alliance Unrealistic for 2027

Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to the president, has expressed skepticism regarding the prospect of a joint political ticket between Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party. Ahmad described the potential alliance as unrealistic, emphasizing that there is no practical scenario in which Kwankwaso would serve as Obi's deputy.

He highlighted that Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, commands a long-standing political structure and defined support base, which makes the idea of a partnership between the two politicians unfeasible. Ahmad's comments suggest that the political realities on the ground must be acknowledged, and he believes that the combination of their political movements is unlikely to materialize into a workable arrangement.
