NNPP's Folashade Aliu on Obi-Kwankwaso Alliance for 2027

Folashade Aliu, a chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), confirmed in an interview that consultations are ongoing between former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso regarding a potential alliance for the 2027 elections. Aliu stated that a public decision on this alliance is expected soon, highlighting that Kwankwaso's focus is on the broader interests of Nigerians.

She emphasized that the eventual alliance with Peter Obi will be determined based on merit. Aliu also addressed claims from rival factions within the NNPP, asserting that such claims of suspension or expulsion have already been legally upheld, reinforcing her position within the party.
