Azomchine Urges Caution Against Blind Support in 2027 Elections

Ikenna Azomchine, a political strategist and former supporter of Peter Obi's presidential project, cautions Nigerians against providing blind support to any presidential candidate as the 2027 elections approach. Speaking during an interview on Trust TV, Azomchine reassessed partisan loyalty and the strategies of the Obidi Movement.

He noted that despite Obi's lack of vocal support for the movement, it is crucial to develop a clear electoral strategy to win the presidency. Azomchine criticized the lukewarm attitude of actor-turned-politician Kenneth Okonkwo towards Obi's candidacy and expressed concern that the Obidi Movement cannot rely solely on sentiment without a practical path to power.

He urged the need for a viable political platform to deliver tangible economic progress and called for opposition elements to move beyond rhetoric and focus on realistic strategies to remain relevant in Nigeria's evolving political landscape.
