Ogundipe Declares Candidacy for Ogun Governorship 2027

Biodun Ogundipe has officially declared his intention to run for the governorship of Ogun State under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2027 elections. He addressed controversies regarding the party's primary elections, where he allegedly defeated Jimi Lawal and Mari Odusina, stating that claims of irregularities were mere propaganda.

Ogundipe emphasized the need for practical solutions to issues such as bad governance, insecurity, and underdevelopment in the state. He plans to leverage technology, particularly artificial intelligence, to enhance security and address crime.

Ogundipe criticized the current administration for misplaced priorities and highlighted the importance of creating jobs and improving living standards for residents. He has spent 19 months developing an economic blueprint tailored to the unique potentials of each local government area in Ogun State.

Ogundipe's candidacy has been recognized by the national leadership of the ADC, including National Chairman David Mark and Secretary Rauf Aregbesola.
