Ogun ADC Declares Dr. Biodun Ogundip Winner of Primary

The Ogun State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared Dr. Biodun Ogundip as the winner of its governorship primary election held on Tuesday.

Ogundip received 9,370 votes, defeating Otunba Jimi Lawal, who garnered 6,812 votes, and Dr. Mari Odusina, who received 2,349 votes.

However, the party's leadership, represented by Emmanuel Famojuro, condemned a public claim made by Adebimp Adelowo, stating that it was unauthorized and misleading. They declared Adelowo's announcement of Lawal as the winner null and void, asserting that he is not a member of the duly constituted electoral committee.

The ADC emphasized that the primary election was conducted peacefully and transparently, supervised by the proper electoral committee recognized by the party's national leadership. The party urged its members and the public to disregard any false results and remain united in support of Ogundip's candidacy for the 2027 elections.
