Ovie Omo-Agege Joins NDC After Leaving APC

Ovie Omo-Agege, the former Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, has announced his decision to join the National Democratic Congress (NDC) after resigning from the All Progressives Congress (APC). This announcement was made in a statement issued on Thursday, which was made available to journalists in Warri, Delta State.

Omo-Agege intends to contest for the Delta Central senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections, aligning himself with the presidential candidacy of Peter Obi. He emphasized that his decision followed extensive consultations with the people of Delta State and political associates.

Omo-Agege acknowledged key NDC leaders, including Seriake Dickson and Cleopas Mose, and expressed his commitment to building a credible political structure in Delta State. He highlighted the need for effective representation and accountability, stating that the NDC offers the clearest path to advancing the interests of Delta Central and the state as a whole.
