Onuh Selected as Labour Party Candidate for Benue South

Samuel Onuh has emerged as the Labour Party's consensus candidate for the Benue South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections. The announcement followed a peaceful exercise monitored by party officials and representatives from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday.

Onuh, a former chairman of Ogbadibo Local Government Area, received a total of 123,000 votes across the district. In his acceptance speech, he expressed gratitude to party members for their trust and pledged to work towards a better future for the people of Benue South.

William Ochonu, the Labour Party chairman in Benue State, congratulated Onuh and the party members for the orderly conduct during the exercise. He urged members to remain loyal and committed to the party's ideals, emphasizing the importance of grassroots mobilization as they prepare for the upcoming elections.
