Philip Agbes Wins Labour Party Ticket for 2027 Elections

Philip Agbes emerged as the Labour Party candidate for the Ado, Okpokwu, and Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, securing his ticket for a second term bid ahead of the 2027 general elections. This was confirmed following an affirmation by party members across the three local government areas, with a total of 52,000 votes recorded during the direct primary election.

Agbes, who previously served as the Deputy Spokesperson of the House and defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Labour Party, expressed gratitude to the party members for their overwhelming support. The primary election was described as peaceful, transparent, and credible by Dr. Aminu Atonu, who also announced Samuel Onuh as the Labour Party's candidate for the Benue South Senatorial District.

Agbes emphasized the Labour Party's growth and grassroots acceptance, noting its increasing membership and commitment to providing a viable political platform for the future.
