PDP's Chieme Kennedy Okechukwu Targets 2027 Election Win

Chieme Kennedy Okechukwu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Orlu/Orsu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State, has announced his intention to challenge the incumbent representative in the 2027 House of Representatives election. Okechukwu, hailing from Awo Omamma in Oru East Local Government Area, called on voters to evaluate the effectiveness of past representatives before making their electoral choices.

In an interview with LEADERSHIP, he emphasized that the electorate should determine their satisfaction with previous representation. Okechukwu's candidacy is driven by his professional background in scientific and biotechnology fields, which he believes equips him to address community challenges through legislative action.

He plans to prioritize security, education, healthcare, youth employment, women's empowerment, and grassroots development if elected. Okechukwu expressed confidence in his campaign, attributing it to his engagement with the community, while also affirming his commitment to remain in the race despite potential competition.
