PDP Chieftain Emmanuel Ogidi Vows to Safeguard Nigeria's Democracy in 2027

In a recent interview, Emmanuel Ogidi, the caretaker Vice Chairman of the South-South region for the People's Democratic Party (PDP), expressed the party's commitment to safeguarding Nigeria's democracy in 2027. Ogidi highlighted the PDP's focus on rebuilding unity and forging broad alliances to protect the democratic governance of the nation. He acknowledged minor internal challenges within the party but emphasized its determination to position itself as a robust opposition ahead of the upcoming elections.

Ogidi criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly prioritizing winning elections over effective governance, which he believes has weakened democratic institutions and pushed the country towards instability.
