PDP's Oluyede Advocates for Continuity in 2027 Elections

Wole Oluyede, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the June 20 Ekiti State Governorship Election, called on Nigerians to approach the 2027 presidential election as a referendum on performance, continuity, and national development rather than sentiment. In a statement released in Ado Ekiti, Oluyede emphasized the importance of assessing President Bola Tinubu's administration based on its policies, reforms, infrastructure projects, and economic measures.

He argued that Nigeria should not abandon the long-term policies initiated by the Tinubu administration, as significant economic and infrastructure reforms require time to yield benefits. Oluyede urged Nigerians to support Tinubu for a second term, highlighting the need for continuity and consolidation of the progress made.

He cited major infrastructure projects, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Highway, as vital for economic growth, stating that these projects serve as economic corridors that enhance productivity and connect communities. He also called for improved maintenance systems and transparency in project execution.
