Obi and Kwankwaso Join NDC Ahead of 2027 Elections

On a recent Sunday, Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, received their membership cards from the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC). This event marks a significant step as both politicians prepare for the 2027 presidential elections.

They are seeking to contest the elections together on a joint ticket. The duo visited the NDC secretariat in Abuja, accompanied by various stakeholders, including Victor Umeh, who represents Anambra Central Senatorial District.

This move comes as both Obi and Kwankwaso aim to build a coalition to strengthen their political influence ahead of the upcoming elections, following their previous association with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
