Makinde Unveils 'Reset Nigeria' Agenda for 2027 Elections

Seyi Makinde, the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and Governor of Oyo State, announced the party's "Reset Nigeria" agenda during the North-West Zonal Town Hall Meeting in Katsina, Katsina State. This agenda is designed to tackle Nigeria's economic, education, and security challenges as the country approaches the 2027 elections.

Makinde emphasized that the APM campaign would be issue-based, focusing on the reset agenda rather than competing against other political parties. He urged Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to participate actively in the elections, asserting that the nation is greater than any individual or political system.

On economic issues, he proposed building a 24-hour economy, highlighting the need for skills and knowledge alongside natural resources. He also committed to overhauling the education sector and reviewing the country's security architecture, advocating for greater state involvement in mining activities to combat illegal mining and its associated security challenges.
