Afegbua Predicts Tinubu Victory in 2027 Presidential Race

Kassim Afegbua, the Edo State Commissioner for Information, stated that the 2027 presidential election will be a three-horse race involving President Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). Afegbua predicts that Tinubu will secure first place, with Atiku coming in second and Obi in third.

He made these remarks during an interview on the Naija Unfiltered Podcast, where he also questioned the relevance of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who is running for president under the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). Afegbua dismissed other candidates, including Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress (AAC), labeling them as “rabble rousers.” He asserted that his predictions are based on statistics, research, and empirical analysis of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), acknowledging some weaknesses within the party but stating they are being addressed ahead of the election.
