2027 Presidency: Jonathan Reportedly Holding Talks With ADC, "Positive Response"

Former President Goodluck Jonathan is reportedly in talks with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) about a possible presidential run in the 2027 election. A chieftain of the ADC revealed that the party is having discreet discussions with Jonathan, who previously led the Peoples Democratic Party from 2010 to 2015.

The ADC chieftain mentioned that if Jonathan decides to join the platform, he would not be automatically given the presidential ticket. The opposition coalition, which includes prominent figures like Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, has formally adopted the ADC platform to challenge President Bola Tinubu and the ruling Progressives Congress in 2027.

Dr. Sulaimon Adigun Muse, a senior lecturer, believes that Jonathan would be a strong candidate with an advantage over Tinubu in the upcoming election.
