Tinubu Commits to Reforms as APC's 2027 Candidate

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections, vowed to continue his reforms in Nigeria during his acceptance speech in Abuja. He described the path to economic growth and democratic consolidation as irreversible.

Tinubu highlighted his administration's achievements, including the establishment of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, which disbursed N282 billion to 1.5 million beneficiaries, and the supply of 2.5 million electricity meters. He defended the removal of fuel subsidies and exchange rate reforms as necessary for stabilizing the economy.

Tinubu acknowledged ongoing security challenges but assured that his administration would remain committed to restoring peace and stability. He called for national unity and urged Nigerians to work together to advance democracy.

Tinubu received 10,999,162 votes in the APC primaries, defeating Stanlei Osifo, who garnered 16,503 votes. The party's national chairman, Anyim Pius Anyim, praised the transparent and inclusive process of the primaries.
