Saraki Engages Kwara APC G15 Amid Rising Tensions

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, former Senate President Bukola Saraki plans to initiate discussions with the G15 bloc, a coalition of aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State. This development follows accusations from the G15 against Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for undermining internal democracy and attempting to impose a succession arrangement for the upcoming governorship election.

The coalition, which operates under the name ‘Oto ge Progressives’, expressed concerns that the APC’s unity and electoral prospects are at risk due to AbdulRazaq's alleged actions. During a press conference in Ilorin, prominent APC figures, including Saliu Mustapha and Yahaya Oloriegbe, called for urgent intervention from the national leadership of the APC to address the grievances of party members.

Oloriegbe warned that failure to address these issues could weaken the party's electoral strength and provide opportunities for opposition parties in the 2027 polls.
