Nigerian Councillors Pledge Grassroots Support for Tinubu's 2027 Presidential Bid

The Nation Councillor Forum of Nigeria, comprising serving and former local government councillors, has announced plans to mobilize Nigerians, especially at the grassroots level, to support Bola Tinubu's potential re-election bid for the presidency in 2027. Dr. Evoh Ugochukwu, the President of the forum, highlighted Tinubu's commitment to local government autonomy, security reforms, and economic development as reasons for their endorsement.

The forum, representing 8,809 councillors across Nigeria, expressed unanimous support for Tinubu's candidacy, emphasizing his track record in enhancing national security, modernizing the armed forces, and addressing terrorism and banditry.
