Shippers' Council Chief Urges PDP Support for Tinubu

Piu Akutah, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers' Council, called on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election campaign for the 2027 presidential elections. This appeal was made during a visit to former Benue State governor Samuel Ortom, where Akutah acknowledged Ortom's significant role in defending the state's interests during his tenure.

He emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships to foster collaboration and accelerate development while addressing security challenges in the state. Akutah also highlighted ongoing projects initiated by the Tinubu administration in Benue and encouraged residents to back Tinubu's candidacy.

He noted that the political landscape in Nigeria remains competitive, and his visit aimed to build alliances with PDP leaders who have already shown support for Tinubu. Additionally, Akutah mentioned that the call for the next governor of Benue State is gaining momentum ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle.
